i'm a dreamer

Last night I had a dream that I was at my friend Jill's apartment. She and her family were at the pool. I came for a visit and lost my keys. My mother was in the dream. She was very mad at me for losing the keys. I just went blank. Looked everywhere for them. Jill and her family were leaving so I was left all alone to search at the pool for my keys.

I finally found them. They were in my purse. I had looked there but apparently not hard enough. I was so relieved. I wasn't crazy. But, I think that was the point.

Whatever you are looking for--it's probably right there waiting for you to find it. We have all the essential keys to life at our fingertips.

The other day I was driving behind one of those asphalt trucks. You know the ones that have fire coming out the bottom of the truck bed. It is to keep the asphalt hot--I guess. When I googled asphalt truck mostly accidents came up, but I couldn't find a pic of a flaming truck.

Then, a couple of days ago at work a friend and I were discussing our hairdresser. We both recently moved with our stylist to a new place.

So a couple of nights ago I had this dream that I was getting my hair cut at the old place. I felt guilty that I wasn't using my sylist. I left after getting my do and walked home. All of two steps. Turns out that the shop was right next to my condo. In fact we shared a wall.

So I get home and notice smoke coming up from the floor. I go outside and look under the house. There are small fire piles everywhere under the house. I go back to the salon, and they have small piles of fire under their place too! I talked to the girl that trimmed my hair and she said, "Oh yeah. That's how our houses are heated." I remember her as a gum-chewing Jersey girl. Like Christopher's girlfriend/wife in the Soprano's (I've recently started that saga too).

Dreams are funny. It really shows that we don't use all of our brain power. I think I'll buy a book on dreams.
